Nathan bought a piece of land on the Jacinto and Corinth Road from Josiah Vanderford (3043) for $300. [AlC deed AA:484]

1870:
Nathan was farming in Alcorn County, Mississippi. [census-MS]

July 23, 1870 (recorded October 20, 1871):
Nathan was given 80 acres in the North West Quarter of Section 29, Township 3, Range 8 of the Survey of the Chickasaw East in Alcorn County, Mississippi by his father-in-law. [AlC deed 2:246-7]

October 17, 1871 (recorded December 2, 1871):
Nathan and his wife Mary sold the 80 acres of the north west quarter of Section 29, Township 3, Range 8 in Alcorn County, Mississippi to Wm. G. Jobe for $150. [AlC deed 1:163]

March 23, 1872:
Nathan bought 13 plus acres in Section 17, Township 3, Range 8 East for $65. [AlC deed 1:244]

December 7, 1881 (recorded May 22, 1882):
Nathan and his wife, along with J. B. and A. V. Walker and T. J. and Nancy Rowsey sold 110 acres in the north east quarter of Section 19, Township 3, Range 8 East to W. J. Jobe for $117.50. [AlC deed 9:258]

Nov. 1, 1882 (recorded Dec. 12, 1882):
Nathan and his wife, along with J. B. and America Walker, Thomas and Nancy Rowsey, and W. F. and M. j. Jobe sold for $400 the 80 acres of the N1/2 of NW1/4 of Section 3, Township 4, Range 8 they inherited from William Walker. [AlC deed 10:81-3]
