Jacob and his wife returned home to Auburn after visiting his parents in Columbia City, Indiana. [Fort Wayne News]

September 17, 1917:
According to his WWI Draft Registration Card, Jacob was a laborer at the Auburn Foundary Cmpany and was living at 703 South Indiana Avenue in Auburn, DeKalb County, Indiana. He was of medium height and build with brown hair and eyes.

1920:
Jacob was painting in the autobile industry and they lived at 703 Indiana Avenue, Auburn City, De Kalb County, Indiana. [census-Ind]

1930:
Jacob was painter at a greeting card factory and living at 703 2nd Avenue in Auburn City, DeKalb County, Indiana. [census-Ind]
